Jeff LeClair : Causam Music, Volume Productions, Providence, Rhode Island, USA

With 20 years in the nightlife industry, Jeff LeClair has developed and honed his skills in a variety of creative fields, with electronic music being the center of it all. As the founder and owner of Causam Music, Jeff is able to put all of his efforts to regular use.  Being a fan of multiple genres, LeClair tends to vary his sets, grabbing whatever fits the vibe and the moment. His present inclination is towards techno and tech-house, though tinges of progressive, minimal, bass, and deep usually find their way in.

Jeff LeClair started promoting and working with Volume Productions in the late 90s. Through his involvement in the electronic music scene, he has worn many hats throughout, from graphic design and event organization, to the inevitable destination of DJing and production. The interests continued to expand, Jeff became a partner in a music label which ultimately led to the creation of Causam Music.

As a DJ and performer, He has opened for a variety of international headliners including Mark Knight, Dirty South, Chris Lake, Fergie, Avicii, Lutzenkirchen, Bingo Players, Benny Benassi, Koen Groeneveld and many more, performing at many well respected venues on the east coast such as Pacha, Bijou, .:therapy Providence, .:therapy Miami, Rise, Shrine, Sankeys NYC (along with its former incarnation, District 36), as well as destination events including The Groove Cruise, Ultra Music Festival, Festival da Povoação, and Hydrotechnics.

As an event organizer and venue manager (.:therapy, Afterlife), his bookings were integral in the growth of electronic music in and around New England. Acts included: Toolroom Knights: Mark Knight & D Ramirez, Prok & Fitch, Roger Sanchez, Carl Craig, Joseph Capriati, Carlo Lio, Tommy Sunshine, Porter Robinson, Victor Calderone and Danny Tenaglia are just few of the headliners featured at his weeklies and special events under Volume Productions at ‘Energy’, ‘Plastic’, Therapy Providence & MIami, Roxy Providence, Axis Boston, Afterlife New Haven, and more.

Production grew heavier in interest through the second Providence location for .:therapy. The eventual result of releasing music was only a small step in the process.  Jeff LeClair sought to establish a better method. As the founder of Causam Music, Jeff has maintained a hands-on approach with every aspect of its identity, marketing, and philosophy.
